Can I use a retainer as a night guard?

A retainer will provide a thin layer of protection from grinding, but they are not designed to withstand these forces and will wear down quickly. If you wear a retainer but still need protection from grinding or clenching in your sleep, you can use a Night Guard to keep your teeth secure and give you a great rest!
How often do I need to replace a retainer?
Most will have their retainers last for up to 12 months or more but depending on care, storage and level of grinding, this can vary between people. So just let us know when you are ready for a new set of retainers, and we can make one straight away from our digital record of your impressions!
